Desperation to Hope

Swaziland: home of the world’s highest known HIV/AIDS prevalence rate.
Swaziland: where in 2009 there were estimated about 180,000 people living with HIV/AIDS.
Swaziland: with an estimated 7,000 deaths per year due to HIV/AIDS.
Swaziland: a country with one of the highest risks for major infectious diseases.

It is easy to get saddened and discouraged just by reading these facts and looking through pictures online. It might also be easy for you to question the Lord’s presence in that area. In an area that seems flooded with pain and heartache, our Father must have a better plan for that country! God, what are you doing to protect, heal and ultimately save your children in Swaziland?!  Have you ever thought that maybe His answer to that question might be YOU!

The Encounter Department not only sends short term teams there frequently, but Adventures in Missions even has a base there. We work in Nsoko and Manzini in order to bring HOPE to the orphans, widows and lost people in those areas. We do not get bogged down by the desperation in Swaziland. Rather, we take what seems like a bleak future and turn in into an opportunity for the Lord to work a miracle there!

And whatever you do,
in word or deed,
do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through.
Colossians 3:17

These people cannot know the truth and life of the Lord without your help. God’s work cannot be accomplished unless His people are willing to go and be His hands and feet on the ground. He enables us with the Holy Spirit for boldness and courage. How are you using those right now? Because I know that those can effectively be used to further his Kingdom in Swaziland. So that this country does not have to wallow in misery any longer, but rejoice in the compassion and strength of our Jesus!

God is calling you to respond to His word.
He is calling you to action.
He is calling you to revival.

How are you going to respond?
